1-54 invited Teesa Bahana, Director, 32° East Ugandan Arts Trust (Kampala, Uganda), Mirna Wessels, CEO, Spier Arts Trust (Cape Town, South Africa) and Ibrahim Mahama, Founder, The Savannah Centre for Contemporary Art (Tamale, Ghana) to discuss what role their art centres, located in diverse parts of Africa, can play in a local and international context. They were in discussion with Rebecca Anne Proctor, former Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar Art and Harper’s Bazaar Interiors.
